The Daily Caller

The Daily Caller is a 24-hour online news operation headquartered in Washington and edited by Tucker Carlson of Fox News. More demanding than a conventional internship, this is a great opportunity for energetic students to experience journalism and learn about government.  Interns will interact with prominent figures as they help update and run a major media site out of the Washington office.

An intern's main responsibility will be assisting with news aggregation for the website.  That means finding interesting news articles, videos, op-eds, and working with the editor on duty to update the website 24/7.  Interns will also be assigned work by the staff as needed which will focus on electronic research, but could encompass other duties as well such as video production.  Intern input will be required on story ideas and devising new and interesting angles.  This is an unpaid internship and the only three requirements are a familiarity with the internet, interest and knowledge of politics, and critical thinking skills. Internships will run January through May and May through August.

Tucker Carlson, Editor in Chief of The Daily Caller, has nearly 20 years of experience in journalism including associations with CNN, NBC, Readers Digest, Esquire, the Weekly Standard and New York Times magazine.  He has worked with virtually every major conservative publication in America and is recruiting an unparalleled team of prominent contributors.  Neil Patel, Publisher of The Daily Caller, has served in various senior positions in the US Government including most recently as chief policy advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney.
